Looking for ACA (Marketplace) health coverage or Medicare help in Miami? Instant Health Help is a licensed health insurance agency based in Orlando and Kissimmee, and we help Miami residents by phone and online. We do not have a Miami office. Guidance is free to you. We are not an insurance carrier, and we do not invent plan names, quote made-up prices, or call any option the “best.”

The City of Miami is one of 34 municipalities in Miami-Dade County, alongside cities such as Hialeah, Miami Beach, and Doral. Large parts of the county, including Kendall, are unincorporated. So “Miami” on an envelope can mean many different places. For health coverage, your county and ZIP code are what count, so we start there instead of assuming every Miami address sees the same plans and networks.

Prefer Spanish? We publish guides in Spanish, such as Inscripción abierta del Mercado en Florida and cumplir 65 e inscribirse en Medicare, and you can ask for help in Spanish when you contact us.

Who we help in Miami

We regularly work with:

  • Self-employed residents, small-business owners, and gig workers
  • Families whose employer coverage ended or became too expensive
  • Households that recently moved into Miami-Dade County
  • People who need coverage mid-year and may have a Special Enrollment Period
  • Parents and grandparents approaching 65 who need Medicare timing mapped

When Miami residents can enroll

Florida uses HealthCare.gov, the federal Health Insurance Marketplace. There is no separate state exchange website. For next year’s coverage, HealthCare.gov lists open enrollment as November 1 through January 15. Enroll by December 15 if you want coverage to start January 1. Dates can change, so confirm them on HealthCare.gov. Outside open enrollment, you generally need a qualifying life event for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP).

SEP triggers we often review with Miami clients:

  • Loss of job-based or other qualifying health coverage (the coverage end date usually drives the clock)
  • Marriage, birth, or adoption
  • A permanent move that changes the plans available to you
  • Other qualifying events recognized by Marketplace rules

Medicare help in Miami

Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7. Medicare Advantage and Part D options depend on where you live, so we compare plans for your Miami-Dade ZIP code, not a statewide list. We review Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement (Medigap), and Part D plans we are appointed to offer, using your doctors, pharmacies, and prescriptions. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048) to get information on all of your options.

Dental and vision

Original Medicare does not cover most routine dental care. We can review dental and vision options alongside your health or Medicare coverage. Background: does Medicare cover dental? and does Medicare cover vision?

What we do (and what we won’t do)

We organize your household, income estimate, ZIP code, doctors, and medications, then compare the options available for your Miami-area address. When you use our quote path, we stay on the application as your licensed agent. No pressure, no invented savings numbers, and no guaranteed subsidy amounts.

Have ready: who needs coverage, an income estimate for the year, any coverage end date, your preferred Miami-area doctors and pharmacies, and a medication list.
