Looking for a Medicare agent near you in Florida? Instant Health Help is a licensed health insurance agency based in Orlando and Kissimmee. Our agent, Lobsang Rivas (NPN 18838086), holds a Florida resident health insurance license that covers the whole state. We help people anywhere in Florida by phone and online, and we can meet in person in Central Florida when needed. Guidance is free to you, and we speak English and Spanish (hablamos español).
We are not an insurance carrier, and we are not connected with the federal Medicare program. We don’t invent plan names or prices, and we don’t call any plan the “best.” We help you compare the plans we are appointed to offer against your doctors, pharmacies, and prescriptions.
Annual Enrollment is October 15 through December 7
Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7, and changes you make then start January 1. During this enrollment period, you can:
- Switch from one Medicare Advantage plan to another
- Move from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan, or from Medicare Advantage back to Original Medicare
- Join, drop, or switch a Part D drug plan
Plans can change their premiums, drug lists, and networks for next year, so it pays to review your plan’s Annual Notice of Change before December 7. If you are already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you get one more chance from January 1 through March 31.
What a licensed Medicare agent in Florida does for you
- Checks whether your doctors and hospitals are in network for the plans we compare
- Runs your prescription list to compare drug coverage and estimated costs
- Explains Medicare Advantage vs. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plus Part D in plain language
- Helps you time enrollment correctly when you turn 65 or leave job-based coverage
- Stays available after you enroll, for questions about your plan
Looking for a Medicare agent near me?
Plans differ by county and ZIP code, so the options in Miami-Dade aren’t the same as in Duval or Hillsborough. You don’t need an agent down the street, though. You need one who is licensed in Florida, appointed with the plans you are considering, and willing to check them against your doctors and prescriptions. We do that by phone or video, wherever you live in Florida. For background, see Original Medicare vs Medicare Advantage, Medicare AEP vs OEP, and Medicare counselor vs licensed agent.
Turning 65 in Florida?
Your Initial Enrollment Period lasts 7 months: the 3 months before your birthday month, that month, and the 3 months after. If you or your spouse are still working, Part B timing can be different. Start with turning 65 Medicare enrollment in Florida. If money is tight, ask us about Extra Help with drug costs.
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048) to get information on all of your options.
